The Curious Goat – Restaurant Review.

The Curious Goat is a cafe located in Walthamstow in a modern building near St James street station. It’s more than just a coffee shop in that it serves breakfast and brunch.
It is easily accessible by public transport i.e. buses and trains, however, there is no designated car park.
It is a spacious sizeable restaurant with attractive décor. It has lots of eye-catching artwork.

I have been to this cafe twice and both times the customer service has been terrific. It’s a family-friendly restaurant and they have high chairs available for the little ones. It has an intimate feel about it and clients could be seen reading and some were working quietly on their laptops. It has a casual relaxed vibe and it’s nice to go on lunch dates or even by yourself.

The menu has a wonderful range of options; even for vegans and vegetarians. They also have a kid’s menu. I ordered the veggie sausages and chips. The chips were delicious. They were well-seasoned and crunchy. The veggie sausages tasted so good I would have thought they were meat sausages.

My toddler had pancakes which were delicious.

My friend had eggs Benedict which looked delicious as well.

The portions were quite sizeable and the ingredients were fresh and high quality. The cafe has takeaway available which is a plus. It also has a hygiene rating of 5! The prices are pretty reasonable too. An adult and toddler meal is about £10 -£15. We’ll definitely be back.

Harvester Restaurant – Review

Harvester Restaurant – Review

After looking around for a family-friendly restaurant near me I decided to try out the Larkswood Harvester located in Chingford. Harvester is a British restaurant chain.

I could go through their menu and book a table for 3 online, which also allowed me to request a high chair for my toddler.

The place has a casual vibe and a relaxing atmosphere,

which was exactly what I was looking for.

The staff were friendly and I didn’t have to wait long for a table. They even offered my daughter some crayons and some drawings before taking our order.

As for the Menu, there is plenty of options for everyone. They even have a meat-free menu and a few vegan options which was a plus for me. There was a free all-you-can-eat salad bar ;))

The large mixed grill was more than enough for two adults. Thankfully they can wrap it up for you to take away in case you can’t finish it. The ribs were soft and tender for my 2-year-old to dig in. however, the steak was a bit chewy.

I had the vegan beyond burger which was amazing. The onion rings were spicy and crunchy.

I then ordered a delicious vanilla cheesecake. They then served us vanilla ice cream with cone and chocolate on the house.

The venue is easily accessible by public transport and has ample parking space. Chingford leisure centre is located about a minute walk from the restaurant. Which is great for a family outing.

Lunch for three, including two alcoholic drinks and desserts for around £50 isn’t bad at all.  I would definitely go back.
